I am Dr. Mark P. Odero from Kenya. I recently attained a PhD in Analytical chemistry under the African Center of excellence II in Phytochemicals, textiles and renewable energy (ACE II-PTRE) scholarship. This scholarship, has given me the chance to have hands on skills in analytical chemistry while allowing me to interact with scholars from my field of study. As a result of collaborative research with other peers in ACE II-PTRE, we have collaboratively published 8 peer reviewed papers and presented in 1 paper in an international conference.
MSc. in Energy Studies
Admission Requirements
The common regulations for eligibility to the Master of Science programmes of Moi University shall apply. The following shall be eligible for admission into the M.Sc. degree programmes in Energy Studies:
- Holders of a first class or upper second class degree of Moi University in Energy Studies
- Holders of a first degree from an accredited university and recognised by Moi University Senate as equivalent to a first class or upper second class honours degree of Moi University in Energy Studies
- Holders of a lower second class honours degree of Moi University or of a recognised university in Renewable Studies, who in addition to the degree, have a postgraduate qualification (certificate or diploma) in a relevant field; or have postgraduate research experience as evidenced by at least one published paper in a refereed journal.
MSc. in Textile Engineering
Admission Requirements
The common regulations for eligibility to the Master of Science programmes of Moi University shall apply. The following shall be eligible for admission into the M.Sc. degree programmes in Textile engineering:
- Holders of a first class or upper second class degree of Moi University in Textile engineering
- Holders of a first degree from an accredited university and recognised by Moi University Senate as equivalent to a first class or upper second class honours degree of Moi University in Textile engineering
- Holders of a lower second class honours degree of Moi University or of a recognised university in Textile engineering, who in addition to the degree, have a postgraduate qualification (certificate or diploma) in a relevant field; or have postgraduate research experience as evidenced by at least one published paper in a refereed journal.
MSc. Industrial Engineering
Admission Requirements
The common regulations for eligibility to the Master of Science programmes of Moi University shall apply. The following shall be eligible for admission into the M.Sc. degree programmes in Industrial engineering:
- Holders of a first class or upper second class honours degree of Moi University in Industrial engineering
- Holders of a first degree from an accredited university and recognised by Moi University Senate as equivalent to a first class or upper second class honours degree of Moi University in Industrial engineering
- Holders of a lower second class honours degree of Moi University or of a recognised university in Industrial engineering, who in addition to the degree, have a postgraduate qualification (certificate or diploma) in a relevant field; or have postgraduate research experience as evidenced by at least one published paper in a refereed journal.
MSc. in Analytical Chemistry
Admission Requirements
The common University admission requirement for MSc programmes of Moi University shall apply. In addition, to qualify for a specific programme, the following criteria shall apply.
For MSc: Candidates must be:
- Holder of at least second class Honours upper division bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry (BSC & BSE) from Moi University or from any other accredited University and recognized by the Moi University Senate.
- Holders of second class Honours lower division bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry from Moi University or from any other accredited University and recognized by the Moi University Senate provided that such a candidate has a minimum two year work experience or, can show evidence of having published academic papers or books in their area of specialization.
